Summer here at Hendersons has passed quickly with the Herd of Sheffield giving us lots of fun.
Hendophant has been great fun starting with his visit to the factory. The Elephants will be out there for some weeks yet and we look forward to the auction at the Crucible on the 20th October.
There are just 120 of the 1000 special labelled bottles left at the factory and less than 40 of the 100 limited edition signed prints.
The event has been a boost for Sheffield and made us get out to places we haven’t been before as anorak elephant spotters.
He has overseen the paving of Leavygreave Road which is coming on really quickly, another step towards the opening of the pub next summer.
We know when summer is ending when our local football teams get going again.
Not too good a start for Blades and Owls or Sheffield FC’s who’s only win was in the FA Cup and now face Farsley Celtic on 3rd September. Sheffield face Stocksbridge Park Steels in a local derby on Bank Holiday Monday who have started better with two wins out of three the same as Hallam Fc.
The undoubted stars so far are Handworth Paramore who are undefeated and now face a glamour tie in The FA Cup at Blackpool against Squires Gate FC. The main benefit of the start of the football season is a sudden thought of hot pies and Henderson’s Relish. Good luck to everyone
